Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
Introduction
FreeSpaces ("we", "our", or "the app") is built around a simple promise: helping you clean up your photo library without ever compromising your privacy. This policy explains what the app accesses on your device, what it does not do, and the rights you have. By using FreeSpaces, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Access
To do its job, FreeSpaces needs limited access to information on your device:
- Your photo library — so you can review, organise, compress, enhance and delete photos and videos. This access is used only while you're using the relevant feature.
- Storage information — to show you how much space you're using and how much you can recover.
- Basic device information — such as device model and OS version, used to keep the app running smoothly and to support you if something goes wrong.
Data Storage & Security
All photo processing — including duplicate detection, blur scoring, enhancement and compression — happens locally on your device. FreeSpaces does not upload your photos or videos to any server, and there is no cloud component for your media. Your memories never leave your phone.
What We Don't Collect
We believe the best way to protect your data is not to collect it. FreeSpaces does not collect:
- Personally identifiable information such as your name or email (unless you choose to email us for support).
- Your location.
- Your contacts.
- Photo metadata or the contents of your photos and videos.
- Any copy of your media, in any form.
Photo Deletion
When you delete photos with FreeSpaces, they are moved to your device's Recently Deleted album rather than being erased immediately. They remain there for 30 days, during which you can restore them from the Photos app, before your operating system removes them permanently. FreeSpaces never bypasses this safety net.
Analytics & Subscriptions
To run a sustainable app, FreeSpaces uses third-party services for anonymous, aggregate analytics and to process optional subscriptions (handled securely through Apple). These services may receive non-identifying technical and purchase information. They never receive your photos, videos, or the contents of your library.
Children's Privacy
FreeSpaces is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your Rights
You are always in control:
- You can revoke FreeSpaces's photo access at any time from your device settings.
- You can delete the app to remove any locally stored preferences.
- You can contact us with any privacy question at mk.saeedan@gmail.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app and on this page, with the "Last updated" date revised accordingly. Continued use of FreeSpaces after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
